Make Your Own Beats – Hot Beats Are Only 1 Click AWAY
If you are indeed looking to make your own beats, then I believe that you have come to the right place.
Within these pages, I am going to make recommendations that will set you on the right foot with your music production efforts. Whatever your reason for wanting to make beats on the computer, it does not matter what your skill level is, you can definitely get it done.
Just don’t rush things, stay within your budget don’t fall for gear lust, practice your craft daily, and there is no doubt in my mind that you will be well on your way to beat making stardom.
Anyone that tells you that you need any ___________(fill in the blank) particular software program if you would like to make beats on the computer, and that you won’t be making anything worthwhile if you not using their recommended programer simply put, flat out lying to you. It does not matter what you use, but instead, moreso how you use it!
Now, in most things, the saying that you get what you pay for does hold true, but you also know when you have spotted a bargain as well. Maybe, it’s like buying non-name brand prescription medication. Different name and branding, but the same ingredients.
So with that said, I know of a few low cost software programs that will allow you to make beats on the computer, and make them well at that. So if you don’t have a lot of money to get your projects off the ground, or you aren’t ready to invest in the high end production equipment straight away, take a look at the software beat making programs that are listed below.
Beat Maker Software Reviews
Number one on my list is a beat maker software program called BTV SOLO. There is no sense in telling you thatBTV SOLO is THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST software beat making machine on the market, because that statement would not hold true. What’s the best for me might not be the best for you, kinda like a preference in women type of thing! But what I will say, is that within it’s segment, which would be software beat making programs for beginners, it is a first class program, and you can definitely get it in and make hot tracks.
If I were to compare BTV SOLO to another familiar software beat making program it would be Fruity Loops, they are extremely close in comparison. But if I were to compare BTV SOLO to a major software application such as Logic Studio, that would be like comparing an prepaid Android Phone to an IPhone. Both do similar things, both belong in the same conversation. It’s just a matter of preference!
And in other people’s worlds, cost effectiveness and capability is what matters. Simply put, BTV SOLO will give just about any software beat making program a run for its money, at a cost that is at least 75% less than your average software program.
As I stated earlier, it’s not about what you use, but how you use it. BTV SOLO has some awesome sounds and a fully functional sequencer that looks and acts just like the sequencers in other higher end beat making applications.
I know dudes who have all of the latest and greatest equipment in their studios, but they make hot garbage. Then I hear of cats like Lex Luger and Young Fyre, and especially 9th Wonder, who use programs like Fruity Loops to top the charts. But I say that to tell you, you can do it too with BTV SOLO!
The sounds in BTV SOLO are hard as hell. The platform is easy to use. There is virtually no learning curve, as you will experience with other software beat making programs. There’s a get started with making beats guide that you can utilize! And if you just want to make beats on the computer without pursuing a degree in audio engineering, then BTV SOLO will be the right fit for you.
But Certainly, BTV SOLO ain’t the only player in this game
Sonic Producer is one beat making software program that just might give BTV SOLO a run for its money lol. Since I didn’t need both BTV SOLO AND Sonic Producer, I had to choose between one or the other. The reason that I chose BTV SOLO over Sonic Producer is simply put…
I found out about BTV SOLO First!
Sonic Producer has all of the same offerings as BTV SOLO does. Hard sounds, the ability to import your own samples and the capability of having 44.1k broadcast quality exports of your tracks. Plus, sonic producer happens to be well know within the industry. There will be updates in the future for both programs, which will ensure that your end user results will be positive. But as you know, when the popularity of a product rises, so does it’s price, so I would recommend that you choose one or the other before that happens, because you honestly cannot go wrong with either. It will be a matter of preference when it comes to BTV SOLO or Sonic Producer, so I will leave it to you to be the judge.
Lastly, but not least:
Reason 6
I don’t know if you are familiar with Propellerheads or their cult like following of their groundbreaking software beat making software known as Reason, but Reason 6 is an awesome, fully functional software beat making program that includes everything that you would ever need to make beats on the computer, and to make those beats sound like they were produced in the Hit Factory by Kanye himself. How do I know? Because I know for a fact that Kanye has used Reason on his albums.
Reason features soft synths, drum machines, audio recording, grade A effects processors, a sequencer that would rival the MPC, and an emulation of a SSL 9000k mixing board to mix your tracks like a professional.
So, with all of these features, why didn’t I list Reason first?
Because with all of these features, two things come along for the ride: an expensive price tag, and a loooong learning curve. Don’t expect to get up and running within a few minutes with Reason as you would if you were using Dub Turbo or Sonic Producer, it ain’t gonna happen.
But, with Reason, if you invest your time and effort into learning the program and the many aspects of music production that will make you a complete music producer, and you can afford it’s price tag, then I would definitely recommend Reason 6 if you want to make your own beats. You won’t need anything else other than your creativity, whereas BTV SOLO and Sonic Producer may leave you wanting for more. Those programs are geared at beginners for beat making, but you CAN make tracks that are hard as hell with them. No one will know what you used.
Reason is geared at the professional with the mindset of ditching hardware gear for a more capable, easier to use and portable music making solution. In comparison to a $20,000 bare minimum Pro Tools setup with keyboards, MPC’s and the whole nine, with that comparison in mind, Reason 6 will be your BTV SOLO, because you will save tons of money, and sound equally as hard.
The three beat making programs that I have listed will allow you to make beats on the computer, and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish if you do your best and put your mind to it. Choose the one that will best suit your needs, as they are all winners in my book, and they all serve a purpose with an end user in mind. Get to it y’all… cause it don’t stop…
